I have a custom field A, with specific choices in the field. This is in a service desk project.
Is it possible to set up that should you choose option 1 from the field, it is automatically P2 when logging the ticket on the portal?
If you choose option 2, automatically to P3? And so forth?

As per the tags, it seems that you are using or having Automation of JIRA installed in your jira server.
Using Automation for JIRA you can do this task easily.
Select Trigger, Issue Created >> Then Action Edit Issue field >> Condition If Else >> In screenshot i used Reporter in If else condition. You have to change it to the select list field, according to that Priority will change.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
