I can't seem to get any Post Functions working. I started out trying to use ScriptRunner to create a sub-task. When I couldn't get that to work I tried simply adding a built-in Post Functions provided by Atlassian, which doesn't work either.
Now, for testing purposes, I am using the "Update Issue Field" to update the description during a transition from "Open" to "In Progress". And the field does not update
I've followed these instructions as well as others made by the community to no avail. I've tried reordering the post functions and tried other functions such as "Assign to Reporter", etc.
Are there any configuration steps or other issues I may be missing here?
I am currently using an evaluation license for Jira Service Desk 7.11.1
If none of your post-function additions are working, I suspect your project/issuetype is not using the workflow you think it is.
Check that you are editing the workflow associated with the project, and that you are using the "publish" option when you have added the functions to it.
Thank you for the quick responses. Nic's comment lead me to the solution. I had changed the issue type for this project without assigning the new issue type to the correct workflow in the Workflow schemes window.
Thanks, both of you, for your help!

Michael - This is usually a permission issue. What is your role on the project? Does that role have sufficient privileges on the permission scheme to accomplish the post function? You can use the Permission Helper located in the System section of application Administration.
