QA custom field assignee doesn't see issues anywhere

Arbak Martirosyan January 22, 2019

Hello,

We have user picker custom field QA in our workflow. The problem is, QA assignee doesn't see issues where she is put as QA anywhere - not in the backlog, not in "My open issues" page.

So basically she isn't notified that she's QA of that field. And issue is not showing up anywhere.

Suggestions?

Hello @Arbak Martirosyan,

she probably doesn´t see them in "My open issues" because she is not an asignee. Maybe create a filter where you set QA = "particular_user" and then apply this filter on her Dashboard so she can see all issues "assigned" to her asi QA.

Best regards,

Jakub

Hi @Jakub Hanak

Yes she's not the assignee. I know that I can do a workaround and add a post-function that will change the assignee based on QA custom field value. But isn't there a way for a user to see issues where she is not an assignee but QA, Reviewer or any similar custom field?

Alternatively, quick filter in board/backlog should also do the trick, if we find the JQL to display issues with QA field assignees.

I don´t think there is such an option. From my point of view, adding a filter, based on QA custom field and display it on the dashboard is the easiest option.

Best regards,
