Hi all,
Currently, our Jira sends notifications for most events to our users which produces many emails. Thus we were considering reducing the amount sent by removing notification types/recipients from the global notification scheme.
However, most of our users most likely have all notifications enabled within their personal notification schemes. Would this mean that they would still receive notifications regardless of whether it is changed from the global scheme?
Thanks in advance,
Nadege
Hi Nadege,
It would depend on the notification that was happening, but for the most part, it should stop most of the notifications. I tend to have very few things listed in the Notification scheme apart from Watchers. Then if a user wants to follow, they can add themselves as a Watcher and get all of the emails for that one issue. Otherwise they are not bothered.
