24 months maintenance after user tier upgrade

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

We have renewed our maintenance recently for 24 months and now found out that we need to upgrade to 50 user tier. Can we upgrade with 12 months period? What then happens with the already paid support for 24 months?
