Add required parameters to 'Compare Number Custom Field' condition

Fleur Stewart February 28, 2023

Hi, I'm trying to add a 'Compare Number Custom Field' condition to a workflow, but there is no option to add the specified value that I want to compare. I've selected my custom field, and 'greater than' but there is no additional field to add the comparison value.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can use the 'Number' Custom Field to perform basic arithmetic operations such as addition (+), subtraction (-), multiplication (*), and division (/). You can also use numeric constants and parentheses to group arithmetic expressions.

Hi Riley, is there a way to have a Workflow condition to compare a custom field value to a set number. I need to transition the issue depending on the value of the custom field but can't set a value in 'compare number custom field'.  Screenshot attached. Screenshot 2023-02-28 at 15.19.35.png

You can use the "Review its value as" dropdown to change how you want to evaluate the field. You can then use the "Check if it" dropdown to select how Jira Service Management should compare the field's value. Finally, add the value you want to compare against to the "This value" field.

I only have these three options in my view, 'equals', 'is less than' and 'is greater than'. Should I be using properties instead perhaps?

I think I have it now thank you - I used the 'Value Field' condition instead.
