I am trying to get our Linux clients into Jira Asset Management via Asset Discovery. It seems that Asset Discovery uses the older SHA1 hashing algorithm for authentication, as modern Linux distros (Ubuntu 22.04 in my case) don't accept the connection unless you specifically allow SHA1(
HostkeyAlgorithms +ssh-rsa PubkeyAcceptedAlgorithms +ssh-rsa
)
Is it possible to force Asset Discovery to use SHA2 or, even better, use a newer algorithm (like ed25519
)?
If I try to add a key with ed25519, it just tells me that the passphrase is wrong.
Same issue here,
could anyone please provide an update on the accepted key types?
Should we expect support will be added for EdDSA?
Thanks
Hi @f.krupp , have you found a solution for this? I am having the same problem right now.
It would be great if someone could give me some tips!
best regards,
Florian
