We are currently evaluating jira cloud and therefore also testing the asset discovery.
I would be interested on how you do it, because the atlassian discovery tool uses very old .net libraries and therefore needs sha1 (ssh-rsa as algorithm) to be enabled.
For our windows clients that is not such a big deal, we could install there on every client an agent.
But for getting the data from the linux machines, i would need to connect (because installing mono on every server seems to be also a bit junky.
How do you get your data? Or do you use any other discovery agent (like ocs) and did connect it to jira assets?
Very interested in your feedback.
Hi @[deleted]
Have you looked at this article on Using Discovery on a Linux system?
https://confluence.atlassian.com/assetapps/using-discovery-on-a-linux-system-1168847940.html
Looks like it hasn't been updated in a year, so I'm not sure how accurate it is.
