Automatic task creation in another project

Hi,

Is it possible to automatically create a task (Project B) in another project everything an issue is created (Project A). Project A and Project B has different issue level security. Ideally I want the newly created tasks (in Project B) linked to the issue in Project A and all commen custom fields automatically populated. Is this possible with Postfunctions or Scriptrunner?

Thanks!!

Hi @Victor Mutambuki
: Thanks a lot. This does bring me a lot closer to my solution except that the automatic creation  topples the issue security. The automatically created subtask is no longer created with the "default" security but "no" security..

Any idea how this can be fixed?

Thanks

I seem to have found some workaround.

For some reason the security level of the newly created issue was not set to the default one.

I created a post function in the workflow to Update Any Issue Field (JSU) and entered the desired security as filed value to the issue field: security level. That seems to do the trick
