I am trying to add a branch to a rule that runs once the issue is created. Essentially, I want the ticket to be marked resolved when the issue is created and then have the branch close that particular ticket after one day.
Not sure if that is possible? I have separate automations that accomplish this but I want to merge them if possible?
EDIT: Thank you, everyone. I figured out a different way to accomplish what I wanted using two different rules with branches that run one day apart.
Hi @Scott Reed and welcome to the community!
I don't think this is possible because you would basically need the rule to pause before executing the branch actions which is not an option and even if it were, I believe the throttling limit would be triggered because rules aren't supposed to run for more than x amount of time.
Hi @Scott Reed -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Adding to what Mark notes, consider if instead you could use a scheduled trigger rule to do this, checking on the frequency and timing you want.
Kind regards,
Bill
