Automation Global

Patrick Sumariva Voltolini March 22, 2021

Hello, I have a very basic question about automations.

Today I can create the project-by-project automations, but I need to create the automations that cover all of them.

Today the path I follow is: Projects> Select the project> Project Settings> Automation

As much as I click on global rules and go to create, he always registers in the current project. I did not find anything, where I go to register automation as global (all projects).

I appreciate anyone who can help me.

Hey @Patrick Sumariva Voltolini ,

The Global rules will need to be defined in the global Automation.

You can either go to it using:

https://hostname.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/ac/com.codebarrel.addons.automation/cb-jira-automation-rules

OR

you can open a project specific rule and click on the link there (on the rule details)

When you create a rule there you can define the scope on the rule details

Keep in mind tho that while project specific rules have no execution limit, the global rules have a limit on how many executions you can do for your instance (based on the amount of users)
