Hello,

I am using Automation for Jira to make some basic connection with another webservice (in Saas as well).

I have an issue with a certificate and automation throws a 500 Http error "Unable to validate SSL connection"

From the Jira server documentation, SSL connections fail from Jira server to external systems | Jira | Atlassian Documentation, it is apparently possible to install the certificate on DC/Server environnement.

What about Jira Cloud? I saw no options in the menus.

Can I make this work?

Worst case: Can I make this work using Scriptrunner for Jira Cloud?

Thanks.

Hello @Antoine [Klee Group] ,

Welcome to the Community!

I am not sure if you have gone through the KB articles  :https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/cloud-applinks-and-ssl-691011834.html

and https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/getting-certificate-error-when-connecting-atlassian-cloud-with-external-applications-using-godaddy-cert-815239674.html

You can check them, if your use case and problem are similar please feel to use the workaround mentioned in them.

Have a great day !

I have got one more KB for the error in particular that you are encountered : https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/an-invalid-certification-path-error-500-occurs-when-validating-web-requests-in-automation-1108484486.html

Solution mentioned here :

If you own the target server, reinstall the intermediate certificate, or ensure that it is installed in the same place as the domain certificate. Contact your Certification Authority for guidance.

Please feel free to read the article and check if it is relevant for your problem.
