Automation rule for linked issues to mirror the status of the "created by" issue

Requirement: Need to define an automation rule which updates the status of the cloned/linked issues to mirror the parent (or "created by") issue. 

Background: We are cloning/linking issues for the purpose of satisfying dashboard requirements for a different audience but do not want to disrupt our current process. So far I have been manually updating the issues based on the parent ticket status, but I was wondering if I can define an automation rule which will auto update the status to mirror the parent issue status.

Hi @Chiranjeev Singh ,

assuming I got your requirement right this should be possible:

• trigger
  • issue transitioned
• Condition
  • when linked issue of specific type is present
• branch for linked issue (of the specific type)
  • action: transition issue to status from trigger issue
