Colour co-ordinating

Is it possible to add any colour customisation to custom fields in Jira? We want to highlight certain fields and were wondering if it possible to do this via colour to make it easily visualised?

The proper way to do this is write a custom plugin that injects some custom css in jira or you can add your css include statement in the announcement banner.

Are you using a jira-ondemand? In this case you can't do any customizations, f.e custom css, javascript hacks,...

Does anyone know if there are any plans to support this for Ondemand? This would be a very useful feature and it is frustrating that there is a solution just not for the hosted solution.....
