We have reoccurring tasks each month. Instead of manually creating these each new sprint cycle, we would like to use JIRA Automation to create issues for us every time we close out the sprint and have those issues appear in the backlog.

The tasks are specific so I have created a branch with specific JQL parameters. The Rule doesn't give me any errors and is marked as 'Enabled'. When I test this out with matching issue criteria, I do not see any new issues created. Any ideas?

Have you checked the audit log to confirm that the rule is being triggered?

From the Automation Rules page, click the ... button in the upper right corner and select Show Audit Log. That will show you the rules that have been run. In the Operations column click Show More to see more details about the specific execution instance for a rule.
