Custom field not showing as drop down menu

Hi guys,

I'm kind of new to JIRA and need some help adding a custom field.

I've added the custom field and it appears, but as a list not as a drop down box. http://imgur.com/RfgUAHH

I googled how to change it so that it is a drop down box which pointed me in the direction of renderers. As you can see though, I have no option for renderers on my custom field.

Can anyone help me out? The guy who implemented this is out this week.

You have defined the field as a multi-select field. These cannot be drawn as drop-down boxes, because, by definition, you need to allow more than one option to be selected.

A drop-down will only appear for single-select fields. Try adding one of those instead (I think your data should be single-select anyway - I don't think it's valid to be able to select 1, 5 and "none" for a risk-assessment level at the same time!)

looks like type of your list is "multi select" instead of "select list"
