Custom field populated with issues from other project

Hi 

I am trying to find a way to create a Custom field called "Client", that is populated from another jira core business project, where we have all their information.

This is somehow achievable by linking issues, or even with Single line drop down but that wouldn't be dynamic.

Before do these, I want to know if this is possible.

Hi Oscar,

I don't think this is possible without the use of a plugin. I do know this is super easy using Script Runner as this simply adds a Custom Field type that supports this:
