Hi all,
I have a Jira ITSM integration set up where Sentinel alerts create issues in Jira via Logic Apps. This setup has been running smoothly for over 6 months without any problems.
Just recently, though, we started seeing a weird issue — for a single alert, Jira is creating almost 100 duplicate tickets. I checked everything on the Sentinel and Logic Apps side, and I can confirm that only one issue is being triggered and sent to Jira.
I noticed that the original ticket lists me as the reporter, but all the duplicates have a different Jira account as the reporter.
After checking for possible reasons, I have a Jira automation rule that adds that account as a watcher (the reporter for duplicate issues) when the issue is created. This rule has been there for a while and hasn’t caused any issues. Could that be somehow triggering the duplicates?
What could be the reason for that and for possible fix?
Happy to share more details if needed.
Thanks all!
Hi @Allen Belonio Welcome to the Atalassian Community!
Please provide a picture of your complete automation and a picture of the additional configuration of the "create ticket" action.
Kind regards,
Dick
Hello @Dick
Here is the image of the automation that involves adding watcher.
For the create ticket action, it is being managed by Logic apps using the create a new issue Jira action. However, I cannot provide you some additional image of that as it is internally managed.
My thanks,
Allen
