Can you please tell me how many minutes after creating a task, commenting / changing a comment, a notification comes to the mail?
The fact is that despite the fact that the Jira tab is always open for me, it is more convenient for me when there is a sound or visual notification of a new notification. Or a popup, as it works in gmail.
The problem is that notifications come after a certain time, and not instantly. Sometimes after 4 minutes, sometimes after 11 minutes (I can be wrong).
Does Jira have a time setting option? I would like to reduce this segment in order to receive notifications sooner.
Or maybe there is some kind of plugin for Chrome that sends notifications?
Hello @Foliant
Thank you for reaching out.
By default, the issue notifications should take a maximum of 3-4 minutes, however, there is a small difference from one notification to another.
Some issue updates notifications (Create, transition, add comments, etc) are added in a single batched notification, whereas multiple updates within a small time range difference are added in a single notification to avoid high email traffic, as in the screenshot below:
Naturally, those type of notifications takes more time (1-3 minutes) to be sent than other issue notifications that are not batched, which usually takes less than 1 minute to trigger (E.g Assign issues):
Considering the facts above:
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestions to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
