What is the easiest way to send notification to external email address when new issue is created but only when issue has specific field value?
"Automation" can send e-mails when certain criteria is met, but can't send notifications to external email, and "Notifications" can send external mails but on every public issue created, it can't get filtered by specific field value.
Help is much appreciated.
This can be accomplished using the Automation for Jira app. If you're on cloud, this is apparently going to be built in to Jira soon, and if on Server you can purchase it.
You'd set a trigger for when an issue is created, and then look at the field that you need, and finally send the email. You can send to people listed in your jira, using a custom field, or an external address that you indicate when you create the rules.
