How to transition grand children issues when parent is transitioned

Greetings

How do I transition grandchildren issues when a parent is transitioned? example: if an EPIC is transitioned to 'cancelled' state, I want all Stories which are part of EPIC and all sub-tasks which are part of all stories to be transitioned to 'cancelled' state automatically

This requirement is for JIRA cloud where we have automation for JIRA. let me know, if additional details are needed.

Thanks !

Hi @Kota Sreenivasa Shravana Kumar ,

I am not sure you can do this in a single rule, but you should be able to with two.

See this document with the use case you need. I would do it for Epics first in one rule and then a second rule for when the parent changes that the sub-tasks are transitioned.

The first rule won't line up exactly but you should be able to figure it out or get close and then we can help you further. :-)
