Hi Team,
In Jira Cloud, I have created an Incident project and am stuck creating an automation rule.
The requirement is to give access to a particular group to access a specific incident in the Portal.
For this, I have created a custom field called "Assigned Application." If I select "abc" in the Assigned Application field, then only the people in the "abc" group should be able to access this incident in the Portal. I have tried using an automation rule but have not been able to achieve this. Could you please suggest how I can accomplish it?
Also once we have updated the Assigned application then the Request Participants field has to update automatically with the value of the assigned application
For example, If I have selected the assigned application as "ABC" then it should update the request participant field as "ABC"
Thank you.
@mamatha reddy you topic is confusing as your title show you try to give acess to a projet by a group
But then you said : "The requirement is to give access to a particular group to access a specific incident in the Portal"
Which is totaly different things, thi sis th reason why I guide you to security level to approach the term "specific incident"
Hi Mamatha - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Can you please share a screenshot of your rule? Also, what type of field is the Assigned Application field? Is it a group picker field?

Hello,
Jira can give access or not to specific ticket thought issue security feature.
you define there a security scheme with security level of your choice then attached the security scheme to a project and with each level define groups of user who can have access.
Then when you create the incident, you should have the possibility to set the Security Level based on which access you want to give
