I downloaded and installed a local server version of Jira on my PC

I created a profile with User Name and Password on the Atlassian website.

When I go to login on the local Jira, it does not recognize my UserName/Password.

Is there another step that I need to do, so that local server knows about login info from the web?

What am I missing here?

Hi @Richard Parman,

Welcome to the community.

The Server Version does not recognise the Accounts from Atlassian Website.

You have created an Administrator Account when installing the Jira instance. Try to log in with that credentials.

If you do not have that credentials any more, try this to retrieve them.

Apparently the install did not complete.

I was never offered the opportunity to create any accounts.

Is there a point in the server install process where it should ask me to create an admin account?

Hi @Richard Parman,

When the installer is finished, you have to open the URL in your browser.  Then it will ask for a license, database connection and if you want to have the users stored in your Jira or if you want to use another user directory.  And afterwards, it should ask you for the data for the admin account.
