I invited a user to a board but it does not load for him, asks him to check he has permission to see

I invited a user to my board but while he got the invite notification they do not load for him. The error message is “we could not load this board, verify you have permission to see it and try again”.

I had thought inviting someone to a board should be quite straightforward - board is currently private not public.

Hi Jennifer!

Here's an excerpt from the knowledge base article Configuring a Board that details the requirements for users to access boards, as I suspect this may be the problem.

A board is available to all users who can view the saved filter on which the board is based. (Note that they will also need 'Browse' permission for the project(s) whose issues are shown on the board.)

If you wish to share a board with different people, you will need to either edit the saved filter (see the JIRA documentation on issue filters), or choose a different filter (see Configuring Filters).


Does the user that's attempting to access the board have the required permissions on the filter the board is using and the browse permission on the project related to the board?
