Is there a way to add one more criteria to a basic search in the issues view?

I need to add Requested by as a basic criteria.

I have several user groups and it would be really helpful for me to be able to choose form a drop down list instead of having to remember how each group was labeled in the advanced search.

If the Requested by is a custom field, you will be able to add it in the basic view by Click More > Search for the field "Requested by" in Issue view.
