Hi there,
We are running JIRA Software/JIRA Service Desk on a Linux box on-prem..
Occasionally, our JIRA instance slows down to a halt to the point where its unusable. The only solution at that point is to SSH in and restart the VM.
This screenshot shows the CPU Usage for the JIRA process to be 164% - but minutes before this screenshot, it was around the 220% mark.
Forgive me, my Linux knowledge is minimal - there may be a better way to diagnose this issue.
Any suggestions?
Hi there.
I have 4 VCPUs with 12GB of RAM installed. This is a very small instance - we have ~3000 SD tickets and approximately 800 Software tickets... nothing crazy.
Confirmed by looking here that there isn't a daily backup service running.
Hello,
how many vCPUs and RAM do you have on this VM ?
Can you also check that you don't have the XML backup enabled as it can impact performance.
Cheers,
--Alexis
