I have created my jsm token for the creation of new Jira ticket. But when I try it, I am getting a message basically saying that I don't have the authorization to create new tickets!?

Welcome! The personal access token should follow your user permissions. Are you able to create new tickets in that project in the UI? Are you an agent of that project? If not, then the permission scheme needs to be adjusted for that project or your user permissions.
