Problem
When we invite new users to our Jira instance, Jira wants them to be 'trusted' by default. Since this role brings too much power with it, we want this to be 'basic', so we have to physically assign administration roles to new users if they need them.
The current situation is too much prone to error and could lead to users being able to see information that they should not have access to.
I tried...
... Googling, but wasn't able to find anyone who had the same problem.
... going through all available settings in the administration application.
Neither gave me any results or even indications of where to look.
Question
Is it possible to either:
Have 'basic' selected by default when inviting new users (preferred solution)
or:
Disable the 'trusted' role
Hi @[deleted] ,
This question has already been answered in the below threads:
In order to summarize: you are right and at the moment there is no way to set the default permissions when inviting new users. However, we have the below feature request open in our system to have this functionality implemented:
Please vote for the above feature request and add yourself as a watcher so that you will be notified in case of any progress.
