Multiple JIRA Service Desks: 1 per customer (in future, perhaps, 2 per customer)

Hi,

My current objective is to setup multiple JSDs (JIRA Service Desks) to support different customers (1 JSD per Customer).

However I would like to use a single Support email address such as support@abc.com.

Question: Is there a way to configure the Email Processing in JIRA to direct the email to a request for a specific JSD per some attribute of the incoming email (e.g. domain name)?

Hi Alok, 

 

Currently, to configure a mail handler in Jira, it's necessary to associate an email to a project and only one request type, so, unfortunately, it's not possible to use the same email for several projects.

In this case, you will have to associate one different email per project so your customers can create tickets for the specific SD.

Thank you Angelica.  That answers my question.

It would be great to have such a feature: a single support address and a filter to route a support request to specific project.

 

I am sure JSD will get there some day as this is a reasonable customer support model for companies that have different customers using different products, or different versions of the same product.
