Hi All,
I am using custom field in my Jira instance, Actually, these two fields are grayed out I am unable to Edit or Configure the fields as it's showing grayed out.
Could you please let me know the process, i want to configure the field and add the field values?
Hi John,
Yes, i know the Root Cause field id cf[10904] . I am using Script Runner and JMEW addon but i have not done any automation or post function with the Root Cause field.

Andrews
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Then go into the Configuration for a field that you can get to.
Once there, replace the id for that field in the URL with 10904 and see if it will let you get to the configuration that way.

Hi @John Funk - Noted... Thanks much I missed this key point. I am able to view the configurations and context of the field.
Thanks for your quick help.

@John Funki am experiencing this same issue but after a custom field was deleted. Its still shows in the list of custom fields but greyed out. if i go to another one to edit > and replace the url with the id of the one removed i get and error > "item should not be null" . I have tried the custom fields optimizer but that did not produce any results. I don't mind not being able to get to that particular one however trying to get a search to load with a similar name greys out all of them. any idea on how to get that cleared up?

Have you done any Javascript in the field description or announcement banner?

@Mathis Hellensberg - I have checked in the field configuration. There is no JavaScript in the field description.

Is the instance hanging after you search for your fields? Usually they are only greyed out for a split second while it's searching..
