I got permission as a project admin from my management.
so I can create and edit the project or complete sprint and so on
but still can not create components.

Isn't managing components one of the project admin's permission?
or is there any permission setting specifically for the components?

Thanks in advance!

I'm encountering the same problem. I've added admin permission to myself (since I'm also an admin for the project) but I still can't create new components. I was able to when I was setting up but the option to create button does not appear. Help.

Hi @Alex Jung !

Are you using Jira Cloud or Jira Datacenter/Server?

Do you have access to Jira Software application?

Check your groups and application access.

Cheers,

Leo

@Alex Jung

I assume you are using classic Jira software project. Being the project admin, you should be able to create/edit components in that particular project.

However, to complete sprint or for any other sprint operations, you need to have Manage Sprints permission at the project level. You need to have Jira software license
