Notification when customer field is changed

Hi there, i am new in JIRA O:)

is it possible to set up a notificantion when a particular value in customer field is changed? eg. we have a filed "weight" - like a priority. We need to set up notification when somebody change this field only.

The default permissions scheme in JIRA allows you to configure a notification to be sent on an issue update ie, any field is updated. There is no option to configure a notification for a particular field update.

You will have to look at customization if you are looking for such a feature.
