Author/Commentor of comment incorrectly imported using External System Import of JSM issue

Preeti Nair June 8, 2023

Hello, I am the Admin/Org Admin of the JSM Cloud site. I am trying to import a few issues from another site using External System Import option. I am struggling to get the Commenter/Date value getting imported correctly, I tried the Account ID, email etc for Commenter value. However its always taking my name (as an admin) when I trigger import. I get a message saying the Commenter value cannot be found, so is using my name. The comment is being imported just like the Input given below.  Commenter is my name and date/time of Comment is current.(when the import is triggered)

Input for Comment in CSV : 15/05/2023 12:10 AM;61962047744c4d006960ba67;test coment

Can anyone help in this regard?

I found a solution. Comment and rest of the issue details have to be imported in two steps. Comments have to be imported with a date format of dd/mm/yy hh:mm a. The rest of the details as per csv/JIRA format(whichever you choose)

Hi @Preeti Nair

Can you try the below Input?

"29/10/22 21:40 PM;admin;Import Comment;;;"
