Hi all,
So, we are using a team-management project. And I want to set up auto-assign to the previous assignee.
The situation is pretty basic:
Person A does the development. Then drags ticket to In Test.
Person B does testing. Then marks ticket rejected.
So here I need the ticket to be automatically assigned to Person A.
Seems like the trick with custom field and post function isn't available here as it's a team management project
Maybe there is a way to do so via automation.
Please let me know

You are correct. You cannot accomplish this with the standard workflow rules provided with next gen projects.
I was able to get this done using two automation rules by setting an entity property on the ticket.
Attached are the screenshots of how I accomplished this.
