Automation: "Epic Link" not available with "Field value changed"

I am trying to establish a project rule which applies a label to a ticket if it has been assigned a specific Epic.

I would have thought the "Epic Link" field was the best to monitor for changes, yet this isn't an option for the "Field Value Changed" tigger I am trying to use. 

As seen with the condition later, the Epic Link field is clearly in the project, so any suggestions on what is wrong? Or alternatives?

Maybe you could use Issue updated as trigger and JQL as condition?
