Automation to set Epic due date based on earliest child due date

I am struggling on coming up with a way to parse the due dates of each child of an Epic, identify the nearest due date from those children, and assign that nearest date to the Epic's due date. The Epic could have several child issues tied to it that may have due dates differing between then by a day or so.

This might be challenging to achieve using JIRA Native features. could you please indicate if you have any third party plugins on your platform to be better assist you with a proper solution.

I'm currently running Jira (Server) with the Jira Automation plugin. As far as third party plugins, I also have Adaptavist ScriptRunner available, however, I am not as familiar with that plugin as I am with the Automation rules.
