Hi Tuan,

Hope you are doing well.
You can try:

1. Add Jira Cloud to Microsoft Teams

  1. Open Microsoft Teams:

    • Launch the Microsoft Teams app or open it in a web browser.
  2. Go to Apps:

    • On the left sidebar, click on Apps (or More Apps).
  3. Search for Jira Cloud:

    • In the search bar, type Jira Cloud.
  4. Select Jira Cloud App:

    • Click on the Jira Cloud app from the search results.
  5. Add to Teams:

    • Click Add to add the app to your Teams.
  6. Install the App:

    • Follow the prompts to install the app. You may need to grant permissions for the app to access your Teams and Jira accounts.

2. Configure Jira Cloud in Microsoft Teams

  1. Sign In to Jira:

    • After installing the Jira Cloud app, you’ll be prompted to sign in to your Jira Cloud account. Enter your Jira credentials and authorize the connection.
  2. Configure Notifications:

    • Once signed in, you can configure what notifications and updates you want to receive in Teams. You can choose which projects, issues, or activities you want to be notified about.
  3. Add Jira to a Channel or Chat:

    • You can add Jira Cloud to a specific team channel or chat:
      • Go to the Teams tab on the left sidebar.
      • Select the team and channel where you want to add Jira Cloud.
      • Click on the + icon (Add a tab) at the top of the channel.
      • Select Jira Cloud from the list of apps.
      • Follow the prompts to configure how Jira should be displayed and which projects/issues to show.

Hello Cristian,

Thank you for responding.

For the steps you said above:

  • On the 2.1: after adding the Jira Cloud to Teams, there is no prompt appear for me to sign in to my Jira. Instead, it said that I'm already signed into Jira Cloud.

  • On the 2.3: I couldn't find my site here.

What could be the problems here? Thanks.

Hi Tuan,

It sounds like Microsoft Teams recognizes that you are already signed into Jira Cloud, which can happen if you've previously signed into Jira on your browser or within the Teams app itself.

1.You can try to open the Jira Cloud app in Teams and then go to the Settings or Personal App section (usually found in the left sidebar).Check if your Jira account is listed there as connected. If you are connected, ensure it's the correct Jira account that you want to use.

2.Even if it says you're already signed in, sometimes refreshing the connection can help.Go to the Jira Cloud app in Teams look for a Sign Out option. If it's available, click it and then try signing in again.Alternatively, you can remove the Jira Cloud app from Teams and add it back to prompt the sign-in process again.

3.Clear Cache and Cookies

4.Reinstall the Jira Cloud App in Teams

Hope this will helps you.

Doesnt seem like Jira is showing up in a "tab" within Teams Channel after being added and authenticated. Is there another step?
