Can you disable email notifications for labels?

Hello! I'm going back through JIRA and adding labels to each task/issue which then sends an email notification to assignee/watcher/reporter. Could this email notification be disabled?

The short answer is no, not unless you remove the option to send notifications on updates in your notification scheme used.  That being said, you have the option to not send notification if you are using the bulk edit option.

Yes, there is an Issue Assigned event that you can configure to only send emails to the assignee. See Creating a Notification Scheme for the events that can generate an email notification.

It would be really nice if there was more granularity in the ability to tailor what you are getting notifications for. I'm wasting a huge amount of time daily deleting notifications I don't need.
