For years we have used JSM to receive and manage our internal users' issues but now all out internal users are Jira licensed users and we would like to cancel our JSM subscription.
My question is: how can this affects our projects? Do we have to create new projects or we can keep using the actual ones?
Could we lose data?
Can we chage JSM projets to Jira Work Management projects?
Any advice would be very useful.
Hi @Joan Andreu Juan Torrens , you can find info here - https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/cloud#subscription . You cannot change project types but you could move data from JSM to JWM projects but this will be tedious. I recommend exporting and importing. Some fields may not translate over so try a few at a time and save your config file once you have acceptable results before importing the balance.

What happens if I cancel my Atlassian product subscription?Hide

Does this mean that if we cancel our JSM subscription [but keep our Jira Software subscription] we would lose all our JSM projects after 60 days?

Correct. So export the data to retain long term.

You could consider dropping to a free tier 1-3 agents. In so doing you retain access to all of your data. Note that some features that you may use today will not be available in the free theater but if you're not really using it anyway no loss.

This could be the smartest way to act! Anyway, we will act with caution to pass all open issues to new project, trying to make simpler workflows now 😂

Hi, @Joan Andreu Juan Torrens. To add a little to what @Jack Brickey has already said, I would point out that cloud customers are responsible for making and maintaining their own backups in all cases. Exporting the data is one way of doing that but you should have a backup method/policy across your Atlassian Cloud products.
