Changes in custom field description will not be shown during ticket creation

Hello community,

trange thing. I created two custom fields and used them within a project on different screens. Afterward I needed to change the description of the custom fields. Then the changes will not be shown if I create a ticket but the old descriptions appear. If I look in the configuration everxthing is ok. I reindexed Jira but this did not solve the problem.

Has anybody an idea what I missed to do?

Hi Manfred - You need to modify the Field Configuration for that project. You can find directions/help here:

Ups, that was my mistake. The field configuration can adjust fields (i.e. the description). The problem as that I changes the field itself after I added ist to the field configuration.
