Clone issue Error creating issue Severity is required. (customfield_10105)

Hi Community,
I am getting this error while cloning an issue from service management to jira software.
The issue type is "incident". I tried removing the severity field from the jira software project but still I'm getting this error. 
Can you please share a solution for the same?

What do you mean by saying "I tried removing the severity field from the jira software project"? Did you remove it from screens only?

Error message said that you have set Severity field as required. It can be set on workflow transition (Create transition) or in Field configuration. Please check those places.

2nd question - how do you cloning issue? by standard Jira feature?

I resolved it by changing the "Required" option to optional of the issue screen. Thank you!

Hi Vansh,

The Severity field is probably marked Required in the Field Configuration used by the project.
