How do I create the "How are we tracking" custom field shown in the screenshot above? I found the change type Custom Field value but cannot edit it's title or values in order to use it properly.
Would appreciate some help!
Hi @Morgan Barnes,
That example looks to be a single-select custom field. You'll need to have certain permissions to create custom fields for projects, but if you have those permissions you can create a new custom field type (and provide the different options) and associate that with issue types (which will be associated with projects) and at that point you can then configure your plan to include those custom fields.
This documentation provide more info on setting up custom fields in Jira: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/custom-fields-types-in-classic-projects/
This documentation provides the information on using them in a plan: https://confluence.atlassian.com/advancedroadmapscloud/add-custom-fields-to-advanced-roadmaps-998650951.html
I hope this helps, let me know if you need more info or if I've not understood the request properly!
Regards,
Dave
I appreciate your quick reply! I was actually able to sort it out shortly after posting this, but ended up doing exactly what you mentioned - works like a dream. Will definitely refer back to this a time or two when it comes up again!
Thank you!

Hi @Dave
Funny, Morgan sent the above screenshot as that's what I am looking to implement and was watching the same webinar! I'm new to advanced roadmaps so figuring out all the power!
I was able to add the custom field for "how are we tracking" but I cannot figure out how to get the color options to appear under, see below:
Can you tell me how to add the color blocks so I can show RAG status in tracking? Or point me in the direction of the right documentation?
Thanks,
Monica
