When I try to set my "outgoing" email Adress for the Project, I receive the error Message, that the DKIM-validation failed for this Domain.

I already found this Tutorial and added all entries as described:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/configuring-jira-cloud-to-send-emails-on-behalf-of-your-domain-900996548.html

With this Domain-Check tool, I receive the message, that everything is set up fine:

https://domain-check.atlassian.com/

Adding the Mail-Address (as described here) to the Project fails anyway.

One additional hint: When I click on "Mail > Outgoing Mail" like described here (Point 2) I only see a nearly white page. I only see the Headline: "System" and a button on the right "Deactivate Mailout". Nothing else, like it should be, and like it is described in the tutorial I found.

The System is hosted at Atlassian, so no "local"-System misconfiguration can be the reason.

Any suggestions anybody?

Hi Michael,

This is quite an old post and probably you sorted this out, however I will address it for any other community members here.

So all instructions about DKIM verification are here:
Configuring Jira Cloud to send emails on behalf of your domain

Keep in mind that recently we changed the way how verification of domains works - you will need to configure Atlassian Organisation in order to verify your domain.
It is all described in details in the article.

Happy to answer any questions around it.

Cheers,
Vasily

I tried the link, but seems broken. Here is the correct one in case someone is looking for it:

Sorry to re-open an old thread, but I was having the same issues and couldn't find an answer anywhere else, so after a few hours of working on the issue, I have provided some guidance to others experience the same problems.

I also was having the same issues, and have put together some things that may help you.

Initial Set Up instructions:               https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/configuring-jira-cloud-to-send-emails-on-behalf-of-your-domain-979428371.html

Check successful configuration:      https://domain-check.atlassian.com/

Other things to check:

  • The DKIM entries if copied directly from the Atlassian instructions are tabbed between each set of characters. Some systems may not recognise this when you copy and paste.  My advice is retyping the entries manually when configuring the SPF records.
  • The initial instructions seem to omit a step where you configure the CNAME records (note not TXT based DKIM records) so that the domain can successfully alias your domain to that of the Atlassian mail servers.  These will need to be created in the DNS Entries within your own domain hosting configuration, example as below:
