Hello,
This may be a really odd request. I wonder if it is possible Deep clone tickets but based on request types.
The scenario is we have several request types that users can select.
If a Feature or Bug ticket is raised, the ticket needs to be cloned into another board. However for any site issues or data requests, they need to stay in the original board.
As the forms already exist in the service project I was hoping to just clone the ticket to the software project board. I have 2 limitations, one if I do via the workflow it copies all tickets to the project board, if I do it via automation there is no option to clone attachments.
Any help would be great.
Hi @Mihir Ruparelia,
I am Marlene from codefortynine.
Our Jira cloud app Deep Clone for Jira is able to (bulk) clone and move tickets to other projects and/or issue types.
You can automate cloning
In both cases attachments can be cloned.
@Marlene Kegel - codefortynine thank you for the information, I was able to set this as part of the automation.
I do have another question if you wouldn't mind helping there.
When a ticket is moved to another board we need a notification email to be sent to an internal product owner.
The content of that email I would like to have a link reference the ticket in the product board. Any idea how this could be done?

Hi @Mihir Ruparelia,
I am happy to hear that it works.
You could add the product owner as "watcher" in the Deep Clone Field Editor. Depending on how notifications are configured in your Jira instance, she/he should get a email notification when the clone is created.
If that doesn't work for you, let me know. I'm sure we will find a solution for your use case.

@Marlene Kegel - codefortynine That has given me an idea, but I have used the automation Clone option rather than Deep Clone.
How do I use automation to add a watcher to a ticket based on a specific field.

Unfortunately, I am not an expert in Jira Automation. But I'm sure there are other people in the community who can answer this question.
