Custom fields can have contexts. I want to know if a context for a custom field of type labels creates a sort of realm so that the values used in this field are only available in that context but not in other contexts.
Hi @Fabian Graevenitz ,
I just checked on my test environment. Unfortunately, a label custom field share values across project even if there're different contexts.

Hi @Fabian Graevenitz ,
As @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ already pointed out, labels are always global, even as custom field of type label.
In some use-cases however, one might want to use different labels in different projects. We definitely did and that's why we ended up creating an app that does just that. Project Labels allows a project admin to define a set of labels for their specific project without affecting other projects or the need to be a Jira admin. It also allows you to manage the values of the system label field per project and per instance.
Hope that helps,
Oliver

This could be a nice alternative if it wasn't an app for cloud instances only. We are using self hosted solution. Thanks anyway for caring :-)
