I have the task of researching a fair salary for a possible raise. My company has never used any Atlassian products before I got hired in a different role. 2 years ago I introduced Jira (and many Add-ons). I also introduced Confluence, Service Desk, and currently implementing BitBucket.
Since my role is now more than 95% Atlassian, I have to show proof of my financial worth as compared to similar roles.
Does anyone have a good source(s) that could provide me with salary information for my current role?
Respectfully,
Aaron
I've found Glassdoor to be fairly reliable, or you could search contract agencies near you and see if they have similar roles, what is being offered, etc.
Hello Scott,
I have searched Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, and Indeed. I found those sources to be very good for finding job descriptions that match what I am doing. However, my issue is getting information that I can present as actual salary comparisons to justify my ask for my salary increase.
I am contacted by recruiters every day concerning contracts that pay at least twice as much than what I am making. But these are 6-month to 1-year contracts. If I cannot find Full-time salary comparisons, then I will use the contract offers.
Thanks for the response Scott.

Hi Scott,
A specialist full time Atlassian admin role may not exist in most areas as yet for an accurate comparison (where are you based by the way?). Using the contractor rates with a % factor (contractors, at least in Australia are often about 25% higher than “equivalent” full time, don’t know what it would be where you are) may be as close as you can present.
While going market rate is obviously a significant facto, don’t forget to sell your value add you’re bringing to the organization if you feel it’s over and above market.

Sorry I just saw that you asked me where I am based. I am in Chicago, IL.
