Editing Form's Questions ain't showing in Issue Form?

Dear Jira Experts,

Thank you for reading this question. Below screenshot states my Editing issue form's questions,

However, when I click the Create button, no matter which type of form, Custom Fields or All Fields, I don't see the newly added questions. For example, I. have Related URL as a field in the above screenshot, but it is in neither Custom Fields or All Fields.

What could be the issue?

Thank you in advance.

Hello @Kevin Lu

1. Your post is tagged as jira-cloud, but based on the images you provided you are actually using Jira Server or Jira Data Center.

2. You need to make sure that you are editing the screen associated with the Create Issue operation if you want the fields to appear in the Create Issue dialog.

Dear Trudy and Jira Experts,

Thank you for your apply. I did what you did by adding Editing form to Screen's Editing: Create.

However, when I go to Editing's questions, it should have the below questions,

However, when I hit Create button and no matter which form I choose, whether it is Custom Fields or All Fields, the questions in the above screenshot are still missing. For example, Editing Concerns field in the above screenshot isn't showing in any of All Fields and Custom Fields.

Therefore, what could be the problem?

Thanks!

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Please review the screen images I provided and notice that I clicked on different options than you did.

You clicked on Issue Types and then clicked on the issue type named Editing.

I clicked on Screens instead of clicking on issue types.

Then you need to expand the Screen Scheme that is used by the Editing issue type. In my example the screen scheme is used for the Epic, Task, and Sub-task issue types.

Then look at the Operations column and find the Create Issue operation. To the right you will see a link for the screen that is used when the Create Issue action is used. You need to click on that link and add the fields to that screen.

Dear Trudy,

I have followed your steps and change the Screen Scheme but the questions in my above screenshots are still the same. I can't believe Jira is this complicated.

Could we go on Zoom and see you could fix the issue? I can pay you $30 USD an hour just to fix this issue and help me understand how Screen Scheme works.

Thanks!

Kevin

I'm sorry, but no, I do not offer live consulting independently from the Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner that employs me.

If you want to provide screen images here that document each step you took and each change you made then I and other members of this community can offer feedback.

Alternately you can look at self-education options such as the Atlassian University, and consider engaging an Atlassian Solution Partner for consulting and support services.
