Epic Status "Done" is not "Done"... Any help appreciated

Marc Mastromonico February 28, 2020

We use Jira Automation to automatically set the Epic Status's when the issue status transitions through the workflow. It works perfect, however the textual status does not seem to match the systematic definition of done.

When we set it to "Done", it does not fall of the Epic panel as it should; and if I manually "Mark Epic Done" from the Epic panel, it removes it, but sets the status to "Ready for Sprint"

Weird, I know... I am including a picture of Custom field configuration for Epic Status. As you can see, "Ready for Sprint" is the last status on the list. Not sure if this is the issue.

Does anyone have ideas how to either edit the locked options in the field configuration or something else????

Thanks in advance

Could you use the same automation for edit the "Epic Status" field and update their value to "Done" as well?

The issue is not with the automation, it is with the status itself. The status Done does not remove the issue from the Epic page as it should. If I then manually select to make the Epic done, it does remove the epic; however, the epic status is not done, it shows Ready for Sprint.
