Mine is a next gen project and I am trying to show the Epic link field in the story which I cannot do .

Also I am not able to do a bulk update , I can only update each story individually .

My bulk update is to attach all 50 stories to one epic , any suggestions are appreciated - thank you.

The Epic Link field does not exist for NG at this time, but as Cody explained you don’t need it. At least to achieve your specified requirements.

I've set up a next gen project.  I have a lot of data that I need to bring over from Aha and the Story needs to remain linked to its Epic.  How can I make this happen?  It would be way too cumbersome to try and do it after sending the data over from Aha.

Hey @Ratna Bindu

Its a little confusing compared to regular projects but you definitely can link a story to an epic.

Steps:

  1. Select the Story you want to link
  2. Select the ... icon in the top right
  3. Select "Add Parent"

Thats how you can link a Story to an epic.

To bulk edit, the best way is to make a filter for the issues. In your case it would be something like what is listed below. You would then bulk edit the filter and select the issues you want to add to the epic using the "Change Epic Link" option.

project = Test AND issuetype = Story AND resolution = Unresolved
