Hi Community,
When reading in here it seems that no proper exports from the reports section is possible. Since I still need to deliver reports to clients on monthly basis, I would like to ask whether I can get a detailed export of the closed and currently open tickets.
This should include most of the available fields I can select in the ticket queue, + timestamps per status.
Thanks
Theis
You can certainly perform exports to CSV. You might consider using the Jira Cloud for Excel (official) Excel extension for this or simply create a filter that can be used to export the fields desired.
@Jack Brickey Thanks Jack, i found this using advanced search.
When creating the reports for customers, i need to present both reaction- and solution time as well as measure availability based on total time for total minutes per month/C1 + C2 issues, Wait for customer in this case being a suspend state which doesn't count and taking the calendar into consideration.
I can see there is some columns called "time spent", unfortunately it doesn't provide any count.
Is it not possible to use a field to measure the time a ticket have been within our responsibility, taking the already added SLA calendar (18/7) and and suspend state into consideration?

There are some fields in Jira that are actually calculations and therefore not exportable. There are addons like Time in Status that can provide this or you can consider creating custom fields + automation to capture date/time of transitions.

While the built-in Excel export feature is able to get your issue data out, you should consider dedicated reporting and Excel exporting apps when creating customer-facing reports and professional documents. The built-in Excel export option produces an output that often requires additional work on layout, formatting, and data-type corrections.
One option you can try is Better Excel Exporter that gives you full control of what Jira issue field you would like to create your report from. It also ships with templates for common use cases and reports like
Total Time in Status Report
Average Time in Status Report
Status Count Report
The cloud version of Better Excel Exporter has just been announced. While we wait for the Marketplace listing to come online, the installation instructions can be found on our Slack or I can send it over. Drop me a line if you want to try the app: levente.szabo@midori-global.com
(Please note that Better Excel Exporter is currently free but will be a paid app once the Marketplace listing is in place and I'm part of the team developing the app.)

eazyBI app is for creating custom reports on Jira data. Create a set of dynamic reports that could be dynamically updated based on new values. Share with customers online reports directly via iframes, or use subscription for specific dashboard with a set of predefined reports and we will send an email with pdf with reports on a specified time. You can export reports manually to PDF, PNG, Excel and share them as files as well.
See our demo account with many report examples for inspiration. See more here on publishing and sharing options.
